Tokuyama Dental's success as a leading dental product manufacturer stems from the manufacturer's consistent dedication to research.
While analysing competing dental composite brands, the R&D team discovered that irregularly shaped and sized fillers can decrease polishability, shade blendability and longevity. After more than 25 years of development to counter these negative effects, Tokuyama Dental created Estelite composites, which feature an average particle size of 200 nanometers (supra-nano). This translates into restorations that yield exceptional aesthetics and ideal physical properties.
Now Tokuyama Dental has launched OMNICHROMA using its now signature spherical fillers and Smart Chromatic Technology. It is the first dental composite to utilise structural colour as its main colour mechanism. The material's 260-nm identical spherical fillers are ideal in size and shape for producing the effects of structural colour to match the surrounding tooth colour. From Al to D4, all shades of teeth express a narrow range of red-to-yellow colour, so OMNICHROMA can be used in most clinical cases, including those with limited tooth structure.
